For those who have been with this page since day 1, you've probably heard me talk a lot about my dad, and him owning an old 1969 Chevy Camaro, or recall me talking about my brothers finding and trying to get the Camaro back, so here's an update on "Legend" the name for this car. Fast forward from my last visit where I met my youngest niece, shot a gun for the first time, and also met my youngest nephew to now, here's how this went down.
I'm driving now, so I pull up to the house in the truck, get out, and to my surprise, it's a party. My two youngest nieces are celebrating their birthdays, it's a party, Jesse scared some people shitless with a random confetti popper in a hallway, so that pretty much amplified the sound a LOT, but it didn't startle my niece's a bit. Fast forward a little more, I begin showing my other brother Ben some art I did, we begin talking about it, the conversation goes to school, the guard, mechanics, and naturally, cars. We start off naming the main problems with Ford's Triton engines, simple fixes to them, and somehow it leads to my biggest obsession for almost a decade, Dad's Camaro.
According to Ben, the title is in the process of getting transferred to the family, and it has to go to one of us because dad isnt around anymore. Ben said he don't want it, Jesse said the same, plus he has a classic of his own: a '74 Gran Torino Elite, so here's where I began losing it. I think for a split second they're getting rid of it, and in a way, they are. However, I was the only one of them to step in and say I wanted the car, and needless to say, once that crap gets settled, the Camaro is pretty much mine. It's a little rough according to my brothers, I've never seen the car myself, but they say it's not too bad. I'm just excited this childhood dream of mine I never fathomed would come true might actually come true!! I feel like a child who just found out they're going to Disneyland for vacation, I'm so excited!!!
